ESSENTIAL for Senior Cats is a complementary food, ESSENTIAL for the integration of homemade diets or elimination diets or BARF diets without bones for elderly cats. The presence of the mineral macro elements (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine, sodium and potassium), of trace minerals (zinc, iron, copper, manganese, selenium and iodine) and of all vitamins has been carefully considered, taking into account the typical shortages of traditional homemade diets. The high content of antioxidant nutrients (vitamins E and C, Taurine, Echinacea and Panax Ginseng) contributes to proper functioning of the immune system. Inulin, with its prebiotic action, promotes balance of intestinal microflora, reducing the risk of constipation. Cartilage precursors (chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine), antioxidants and manganese fosters joint health which elderly dogs often suffer of, while the correct balance of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D contribute to bone health. The presence of Taurine, Carnitine and antioxidant action nutrients can improve heart function. The correct content of Taurine, essential in the feline species, contributes to proper functioning of the heart and retina. ESSENTIAL for Senior Cats has a high tolerability, as it is formulated without added protein sources.
